I'm skeptical that it's just something that affects MacBooks; surely it would affect Mac Minis and any other Mac using the latest OS?
But still... oops?
Site that lets you make your own cards that can go into Apple Wallet.
I don't know why or when I'd need this, but it might be useful at some point in the future.
I need to get back into running again, and after a bunch of health issues I need to be gentle which means doing C25K again. The NHS podcast was fine but I don't think I can really work through that again as it is kind of annoying.
This might be worth trying.
The reddit post where I first discovered BodyState. For a year or so this remained a really useful and focused app that did what I needed. As of November 2025 it's been sold to a company who are starting to ruin it already.
Such a shame.
Interesting and useful-looking personal database app for iOS and macOS. I haven't really needed a database app like this for a long time, but it's worth keeping a note of this should it became a requirement.
It looks good enough that I almost want to try and find a reason to use it.
Having finally switched to using pure-Apple-ecosystem for sleep tracking, I was curious why I wasn't getting any sort of "time in bed" value recorded (as opposed to time asleep). The previous (iOS-based) tracking app did it just fine.
Turns out it used to be an option that was set on the phone, and iOS 18 seems to have taken it away, but still reports it (as nothing recorded).
Weird.
I've not run into the new monthly screen recording prompt yet but I can imagine that when I do it might get annoying. I appreciate Apple being super cautious with security and stuff like this, most of the time, but this feels a bit too much.
It's good to know there is a way to work around it, if you're happy to go "under the hood".
